ISLAMABAD: The accountability court on Thursday will resumed case proceedings against
Nawaz Sharif and family in Avenfiled properties reference case.
Nawaz’s counse
l Khawaja Haris resumed cross-examination of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Additional Director and form
er Joint Investigation Team (JIT) head of Panama Papers case Wajid Zia.
During the previous hearing on March 28 Haris had questioned if the witness had any evidence to prove
Nawaz Sharif’s ownership of Avenfield properties. The star witness stated that no sound evidence or d
ocuments revealed such a fact, but Sharif’s son Hussain
Nawaz owned the properties from 1993-1996.
Zia also informed the court that the d
ocuments submitted to the JIT
by the Sharifs were forged.
